Introducing the new 2021 Ford Transit Van. America’s best-selling van is updated with packages for those who work hard and play harder. The team at Ziems knows that when you buy a Ford Transit Van you have a purpose in mind. That’s why the all-new Ford Transit is purpose-built. If playtime is on your mind, the options for the 2021 Transit provide the opportunity to design the recreational vehicle of your dreams.

If your plan is to work smarter, not harder, then these new options help you deliver goods or provide services across New Mexico more efficiently. The standard 2021 updates include new wheel choices, plus three new exterior color options. Also, this year the manual parking brake has been swapped out in favor of an electronic one. This improvement creates a 50% larger aisle between the front seats making rear cargo access easier.

Ford Transit for Play

Did you know that more than half of all motorhomes sold in the United States today are built on a Ford chassis? That experience and know-how is what Ford is utilizing to respond to growing demand and embracing #vanlife head-on. For the new model year, Transit is offering three new and improved option packages that will keep you on the road and off the grid.

  • The Motorhome Prep Package

This package is all about the engine and chassis, working on the assumption that the body will be removed. The perfect option if you are planning to use your Transit for a motorhome or tiny house conversion. The Prep package includes an adaptive cruise control system great for long hours on the road. Motorhome Prep customers can also choose the new version of the popular 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V6 engine designed to support high frontal area conversions. The standard engine on the Transit is a 275-hp 3.5-liter V-6 that makes 262 pound-feet of torque. The turbocharged V-6 makes 400 lb-ft of torque. Either engine pairs to a 10-speed automatic transmission and there is an available all-wheel-drive system.

  • The RV Prep Package

This package includes driver-assist features like the adaptive cruise control paired with a side-sensing system. It also offers a heavy-duty towing option perfect for bikes and trailers. Other features include standard front fog lamps to light up the darkest sections of country roads. Interior upgrades for the RV Prep will include an eight-speaker sound system for Infotainment. The front cabin is upgraded with four-way manual swivel seats, a popular feature in most camper vans. RV owners who wish to travel with their toys in tow will find this the perfect package with up to 6,800 pounds in towing capacity.

  • The Adventure Prep Package

If #vanlife is calling you, the Adventure Prep Package is what you crave. Several popular camper van features are bundled together for just the right mix. Options include all-wheel drive, the 3.5-liter turbo V-6, a rear limited-slip differential, a heavy-duty front axle and privacy glass. The prep package offers the most advanced driver-assist features of the three available options for 2021. It pairs the adaptive cruise control with reverse and side-sensing systems, plus a blind-spot system. You’ll also get an 8-inch color touch screen with SYNC® 3. It comes with dual USB ports, power points and dual absorbent glass mat batteries. Everything you need for a #vanlife adventure.

Ford Transit For Work

The 2021 Transit cargo van emphasizes ease of movement between the passenger and cargo areas for busy drivers. As we said before, the manual parking brake has been swapped out resulting in a wider aisle for easier cargo access, but that’s not all.

  • The Parcel Delivery Package

The Parcel package focuses on the needs of an industry that’s currently booming, shipping and delivery. With this in mind, the aim is to provide improved access to the cargo compartment. An optional center console with a right-side shifter improves walkthrough, offering an additional driver legroom. The armrests have been eliminated from both the driver and passenger seats to further improve cargo access. The overhead shelf is now optional, which provides more standing clearance when moving through the cabin. Another enhancement adds 50/50 hinged rear doors featuring a wide 253-degree opening. Full interior lighting helps to facilitate early morning and late evening deliveries.

  • The Livery Package

Designed to serve the premium transportation market this package adds on upgrades in comfort and style. Only available for the Transit XLT, this it includes 10-way power seats shod in ebony leather. Power sliding side doors provide easy access and exit for passengers and their luggage. HID headlamps light the way, full privacy glass provides discretion, and 16-inch silver wheels add an extra touch of class.

As you can see, with five new options to choose from the 2021 Ford Transit is redesigned and ready to work or play. Depending on your needs, you can choose from three lengths, three roof heights and two wheelbases. Plus, there is plenty of space for racks, bins, tools, supplies, equipment, sleeping and more.
