What’s New in the 2020 Ford Explorer?

2020 Ford Explorer Outside In Front Of Building With Flowers

Already well-known as the most popular SUV ever sold in the U.S., the all-new 2020 Ford Explorer is set to make a splash this year with big upgrades in performance, styling, and technology. This tough SUV further cements its spot in the competitive midsize SUV segment with impressive features geared toward the adventurer in all of us. The 2020 Ford Explorer will be available soon at our Ford dealer serving Aztec and is expected to surpass the competition in a number of ways.

  • High-Powered Performance: 2020 marks the debut of two new trim levels that promise exceptional power and fuel economy. The Explorer ST model utilizes a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine to pump out 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque, while the Explorer Hybrid model focuses more on fuel economy without sacrificing power with the ability to tow up to 5,000 pounds.
  • Off-Road Prowess: The 2020 Ford Explorer model has a new rear-wheel drive system that allows drivers to enjoy a more athletic experience behind the wheel when paired with the available Terrain Management System™. This system enables drivers to master any terrain and alter their driving performance with seven selectable drive modes such as tow/haul, eco, slippery, and deep snow and sand.
  • Stylish Design Inside and Out: The refreshed Ford Explorer model’s configuration has a wheelbase six inches larger than previous Ford Explorer models for sale, which means even more space and legroom for up to seven of your Aztec area friends. Drivers can also look forward to a customizable cabin with new available ActiveX™ Seating Material and an available cargo management system.
  • Tech-Savvy Technology: There is plenty of innovative technology and advanced safety systems inside the newest Explorer model. The optional 10.1-inch portrait-mounted touch-screen display is the largest the Ford Explorer has ever offered and integrates well with Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™, and available FordPass Connect™. The Explorer also comes with Ford Co-Pilot360™, a suite of smart technologies, to provide complete peace of mind on the road.
