Bronco R – Race Prototype

In November, at last year’s Baja 1000, Ford teased and tested a new Bronco prototype, one with the heart of the upcoming, street-legal production Bronco that will be debuting July 13th 2020. The Baja racer was up-fitted with race-ready suspension components, wheels and tires. The mission, to give the stock engine, transmission and four-wheel-drive system the test of the century in the roughest conditions possible. To that end, the Baja 1000 was a success.

Built Wild

This year, the legendary Bronco will ride again, rejoining Ford’s stable of crossovers and SUVs. The reincarnated Bronco will emulate the old school vibe and off-road pedigree of its iconic predecessors with that signature boxy shape, and retro styling inside and out. Available in two models, the Bronco and the Bronco Sport (releasing later in September) will both showcase removable roof panels and offer multiple powertrains. Saddled with go-anywhere capability, this redesigned horse will be fully equipped to carry adventure seekers deep into the untamed wild.
